Following Shawston successful strategy to continually reinvest profit and resources into the expansion of the group, a new depot is being opened in Wednesbury, West Midlands.
The new branch will carry the full range of product for both mechanical services and fire sprinkler contractors. The 10,000 square foot unit has two overhead cranes and a large yard making the site perfect for rapid expansion.
The branch will be managed by Nick Homer, pictured below. Nick has 22 years experience working within the mechanical services sector. Nick has already recruited a full operational and sales team and expects to be trading from 1st October 2014.
Managing Director Rob Davenport said “This branch opening completes our geographic footprint to be classed as a true national distributor. We are expanding incredibly quickly into the mechanical services market throughout the UK and we believe there is a supply gap within the Midlands for Shawston to provide mechanical services contractors with some real choice away from the large ‘PLC’ distributors. In addition, we will make the full range of fire sprinkler products more available to all of our contractors and we can now credibly sell to new fire contractors operating in the Midlands. It is a very exciting development for our group”.
